Privacy Policy

Covers the Ridgebrook Oy website and apps, including Juomapeli.

Our apps collect no personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no servers. Everything an app remembers stays on your device, and deleting the app deletes it.

There is one exception, and it is the obvious one: if you email us, we have your email. We keep it only to answer you, and section 6 says exactly how long.

1. Who we are

2. What our apps collect

Nothing. There is no sign-up, no identifier, and no network request of any kind. We cannot receive your name, email, contacts, location or usage statistics, because nothing in the app is able to send them.

We include no third-party code for analytics, crash reporting, attribution or advertising.

3. What stays on your device

To work between sessions, Juomapeli remembers:

the player names you type in;
your settings, such as tier and alcohol-free mode;
which prompts you have seen, so they do not come back;
any game in progress.

This is written to your device's own storage. We cannot read it. Clear it in the app's settings, or uninstall the app to remove it entirely. Player names are whatever you type — nothing requires real names.

4. Camera and photos

To join a multi-device game you read a square code from another player's screen. Two ways to do that need your permission:

Camera — the image is examined on your device to find the code. Nothing is photographed, saved or sent, and no audio is recorded.
Photos — if you prefer, pick a screenshot instead. The app receives only the image you choose, reads the code from it, and keeps nothing.

Both are optional. Decline them and every single-device game still works. You can change your mind in your device's settings.

The code itself holds the game setup — a room code, the host's player names, and a number that keeps devices in step. It is shown openly on screen for others to read, so do not treat it as private.

5. Buying the app

Purchases go through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details or billing address. Apple and Google send us anonymised sales reports that do not identify individual buyers.

6. If you email us

We receive your address and your message, and use them only to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We delete support mail within 12 months of the matter closing. Only our email provider handles it, as our processor. We never sell or share it.

7. This website

Static pages. No cookies, no analytics, no third-party fonts, scripts or tracking — so there is nothing for you to consent to.

Cloudflare serves the site and processes standard log data such as IP address and requested page in order to deliver it and block attacks, on the basis of legitimate interest. This may involve processing outside the EEA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Because our apps send nothing, no app data is transferred anywhere.

8. Children

Our apps are not for children. Juomapeli is a drinking game for adults of legal drinking age and is rated accordingly. We knowingly collect data from nobody, children included.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your personal data. In practice we hold none about app users, so there is nothing for us to produce or delete — your app data is already on your own device, in your hands.

If you have emailed us, ask us to delete that correspondence at contact@ridgebrook.fi and we will, within 30 days. You may also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or the authority in your own country.

Apart from support email, we hold no store of user data to breach, which is the strongest security measure available to us. The site is HTTPS only.

10. Changes and contact

Changes are published here with a new effective date. If a future version of an app ever starts collecting personal data, we will say so here and in the app first, and ask consent where the law requires it.
